My Story

Hi, I'm Zurina.

And I'm here to make your intentions shine. 

It all started with a ruby ring.

Passion. Vitality. Strength. Confidence.

These are just a few words to describe the gem that inspired my journey.

The ruby was huge. Vibrant and pink, set in the brightest gold. It looked like it was straight out of a Malaysian fairy tale. 

It was also powerful. This family heirloom connected me to a home and heritage I didn't even know yet.  

It was the most mesmerizing piece in my mother's collection - and my favorite. I would sneak into her closet, play dress up, and stare at all the colorful gemstones and bright gold for hours. 

We didn't have the best relationship in those days, but we always agreed on one thing: I would inherit this collection one day.

Things were so volatile, it was one of the only things that ever felt certain. 

But that day never came - everything was stolen when I was a teenager. All the treasures that connected me to my family's history and my inheritance were just... Gone. 

I may have lost the heirlooms - but I inherited something much more valuable. 

Their energy. 

It was the catalyst for my journey and inspired me to help others find their voice and speak their intentions through stones. 

So that's what I do. 

Energy Meets Ethos

I didn't understand the extent until recently, but I've always been sensitive to energy and distinctly connected to my intuition. I even taught myself to meditate at an early age. It helped me stay centered and grounded in a chaotic environment and helps me read energies now. 

Even though life was volatile back then, I was lucky enough to grow up with the grounding energy of mountains, forests, and deserts.

My life has brought me all over the world - from the vast deserts of the American Southwest and Southern Africa to the lush forests of the Pacific Northwest and the faraway jungles of Malaysia. These days, I'm based in Germany.

Each new adventure has given me a deeper respect for the planet and everything on it. 

I've seen the critical impact that mining and deforestation have, and am mindful of creating my work in the most responsible ways possible.

After losing my family's heirloom collection all those years ago, I became a little obsessed with gemstones. Their energy inspired me to create high-quality, affordable pieces using 14K gold fill and sterling silver.

Every piece is designed and made in my bright and airy Berlin studio, using an ever-increasing array of sustainably sourced gemstones, 14K gold fill made from ethically sourced gold, recycled sterling silver, and eco-friendly leathers. 

All designs are made with the following in mind:

  • simple and timeless designs
  • quality materials that last with proper care
  • small collections to help reduce waste
  • repair and cleaning services to extend each piece’s life (offered on mine and other products)
  • recycling precious metal scrap
  • reusable, recycled, fair trade, and sustainable packaging
  • upcycled DIY jewelry kits
  • upcycling and repair workshops
  • annual improvements
