My Story

Hi, I'm Zurina.

And I'm here to make your intentions shine. 

It all started with a ruby ring.

Passion. Vitality. Strength. Confidence.

These are just a few words to describe the gem that inspired my journey.

The ruby was huge. Vibrant and pink, set in the brightest gold. It looked like it was straight out of a Malaysian fairy tale. 

It was also powerful. This family heirloom connected me to a home and heritage I didn't even know yet.  

It was the most mesmerizing piece in my mother's collection. And it was my favorite.

Although it was strictly forbidden, I'd risk anything to sneak into her closet to play dress up. I could stare at all the colorful gemstones and bright gold for hours. 

We didn't have the best relationship in those days, and it remained tumultuous for years.

But we always agreed on one thing: I would inherit that collection one day.

Things were so volatile, it was one of the only things that ever felt certain. 

But that day never came - everything was stolen when I was a teenager. All the treasures that connected me to my family's history and my inheritance were just... Gone. 

I may have lost the heirlooms, but I inherited something much more valuable. 

Their energy. 

It was the catalyst for my journey. It inspired me to help others find their voice and speak their intentions through stones. 

So that's what I do. 

Energy Meets Ethos

I didn't understand the extent until recently, but I've always been sensitive to energy and distinctly connected to my intuition. I even taught myself to meditate at an early age. It helped me stay centered and grounded in a chaotic environment, and helps me read energies now. 

Even though life was volatile back then, it was balanced by growing up with the grounding energy of breathtaking nature.

Mountains, forests, and deserts felt like home no matter where they were.

From the vast deserts of the American Southwest and Southern Africa to the lush forests of the Pacific Northwest and the faraway jungles of Malaysia, every experience has had a lasting impression. 

Although I've lived all over the States, I'm now based in Germany.

Each new adventure has made an impact, and has inspired a mindful approach to my work.

After losing my family's heirloom collection all those years ago, I became a little obsessed with gemstones. Their energy inspired me to create high-quality, affordable pieces using 14K gold fill and sterling silver.

Every piece is designed and made in my bright and airy Berlin studio, using an ever-increasing array of sustainably sourced gemstones, 14K gold fill made from ethically sourced gold, recycled sterling silver, and eco-friendly leathers. 

All designs are made with the following in mind:

  • simple and timeless designs
  • quality materials that last with proper care
  • reducing waste by releasing small collections or individual product drops
  • repair and cleaning services to extend each piece’s life
  • recycling precious metal scrap
  • reusable, recycled, fair trade, and sustainable packaging
  • upcycled DIY jewelry kits
  • upcycling and repair workshops
  • annual improvements
