Support Earthquake Survivors in Turkey and Syria

As we happily conclude our annual celebration of Valentine's love, I wanted to take a minute to encourage you to spare some of that love for the humanitarian crisis happening in the aftermath of the Turkey and Syria earthquake.
When I got back from the States last week, the Turkey-Syria earthquake had just happened. There was an eerie calm when we got off the plane. I hadn't seen the news, and even though I had just finished a 20-hour journey and was feeling a little off myself, I noticed so many faces expressing pain and quiet disbelief. I had no clue what happened until I got into my cab.
The driver shared the news and his own story - he hadn't been able to contact his family and was planning to make a trip back to help. I don't know what happened to him, and I can only hope he was able to make his way home and find his family.Â
I can't even begin to comprehend the ever-expanding impact of this disaster. Countless families are experiencing unheard of generational loss, and the remaining survivors are left with nothing.Â
I've personally lost more than half a dozen family members in the last year, and I was just coming back from a memorial service where we had four generations of my own family in one room. I've been grieving for a while, but I can't imagine the depths of grief that would arise after such loss in the blink of an eye.Â
Due to the immediate need for assistance, I've made a personal donation to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
As the crisis is unfolding and ongoing, I'll be donating 50% of February's sales to emergency relief efforts of this organization.Â
From now until the end of the month, each order will come with a special thank you note, along with how much your order contributed.
So I encourage you in this moment.Â
